Default Re: Clustering IDM and eDirectory

It depends entirely on what applications will be using eDirectory. Just
the UserApp? Use replicas and have the UserApp point to a clustered IP
that points to any node that is up. The IDM engine? That's a bit more
tricky and the only option besides having two servers in the DriverSet
(one with a driver running and the other without, or drivers split across
both of them but only running in one place) is to cluster eDirectory as an
application using Heartbeat or something like that as mentioned in the
documentation:

http://www.novell.com/documentation/...a/bept5sb.html

On the UserApp side, I have no idea. I think JBoss does some clustering
so maybe it's all done at that level. Anyway, all of these question, if
they are not answered in the doc, would probably belong better in another
forum as they are not related to Analyzer.

Good luck.
