On Compare, save the Compare state info

So I was making a stack of changes in a Lab system. I did not Compare
till I was done.

Would be nice if I could document all the changes I had made.

Now the easy answer is I should have taken better notes (Ok, any notes
at all...)

But do I need to? I have a cool tool that can compare the state of the
project with the current tree... Compare...

So, here is my enhancement request:

When I do a compare, give me an option to somehow save the Compare results.

As it happens, I have NO idea what that might look like... I.e. How
would I review the file after it is created, and what I want to see...

Maybe Document generation? I would like to see the view I get in
Compare...

How to actually implement this?

I dunno, but as Ratbert was wont to say, I am more of an idea rat...
