Running IDM on VMware Servers

Hi everyone:

We have our IDM production environment running on a physical box over 3 years (IDM 3.5.1, eDirectory 8.7.3.9 and RedHat Linux). We are investigating the possibility of moving the IDM system in to a VMware server.

I would like to know whether anyone has a IDM production system running on VMware servers. I would also like to know if anyone experience any performance issue when they switch to a VMware server. Last I would like to know the general options on running a production on VMware servers.
