You will not take advantage of it unless you are using the Novell
Compliance Management Platform (NCMP or CMP) set of products from Novell
including Novell Sentinel. It basically ties identity and your SIEM
(security environment) based on Sentinel together. It means that when you
see events come into Sentinel from MAD, eDirectory, or LDAP they all show
up tied to one central identity instead of to cn=ab,o=novell,dc=org,
sAMAccountName=ab and primary key '2' for table 'users' in schema 'novell'.

If you do not have it then the policies related to it shouldn't hurt
except that they will populate a value for your MAD (or other identity
tracking-enabled) driver into eDirectory.
