Here is the root error:

"Caused by: javax.naming.CommunicationException: simple bind failed:
10.1.3.151:389 [Root exception is javax.net.ssl.SSLException:
Unrecognized SSL message, plaintext connection?]"


You can not run the User Application using the non ssl port to connect to
JBoss. Yes, the checkbox is there in the configupdate panel, but it does
not function correctly in your version. This is a known Bug.

You must use "Secure Administrator Connection" and use "Secure User
Connection"

Stop Jboss, launch configupdate and re-enable these two, press OK, and
then restart JBoss.
