iFolder 2.8.1 on Vista 64-bit

We are running the Novell iFolder 2.8.1 client successfully on a range of OS's including Windows XP and Windows Vista 32-bit (using the compatibility feature to emulate XP). However I have not been able to run it on Vista 64-bit, I get the message "Failed to access NifFltr.sys Re-install application".

I realise that officially this version of the product is no longer supported but as there are no immediate plans to upgrade this in our organisation I would appreciate any assistance anyone can give.
