Iman 2.7.3 unable to manage NBM3.9

I've looked at other posts regarding managing NBM3.9 via iManager 2.7 and couldn't find anything close, so here is my issue. I am running iManager 2.7.3 FTF1 from a NW65SP8 server. Everything seems to work OK until I try to manage my NBM3.9SP2 box. Anything I click under Bordermanager eventually results in a 503 error in my browser (I'm using FF3 under SLED 11). If I watch my iManager server while attempting to do anything with Bordermanager, I see a bunch of "count=xxxxx" go by (last time I tried it got to 39,898 and died). The only way I can manage my proxy is to use the iManager workstation version on my local workstation, which works, but is extremely slow and I can't do anything from anywhere else. Anybody have any ideas of where or what to look for?
