Default CIFS issues

On a Netware 6.5 SP5 server we are trying to configure CIFS. Amending the CIFS.CFG file and restarting CIFS adds the shares, however, when we set the simple passwords we can't acces the share. I have read that from Netware 6 CIFS are administered from Console1 or iMangager. I can't add shares via Console1, they don't appear when I run CIFS SHARE (even after restarting CIFS)

On the Console I get the following results which I believe means it is using the CFG file when starting (or am I wrong ?) :-

Loading Module CIFS.NLM [ OK ]
CIFSNLM: Compile date and time is Mar 10 2006, 12:21:13
CIFSNLM: Default config file \ETC\CIFS.CFG
CIFSNLM Operating Parameters:
Server - "FS_CBU_NW01-W"
Comment - ""
Authentication - "Local"
Workgroup - "WORKGROUP"
Oplocks - Enabled
DFS - Disabled
Unicode - Enabled
Domain Add-on - Disabled
SMB Signatures - Disabled
Share point - "Export All mounted Volumes"
Loading Module CIFSPROX.NLM [ OK ]
Auto-Loading Module LDAPX.NLM

I have amended the CFG file to create the shares and it works, however, we can't attach to them through simple passwords.

I decided to try and configure them via iManger, however, when I select the server I get a message "the cifs configuration is not stored in edirectory"

Can anybody tell me where I'm going wrong or point me in the right direction ?
