Synchronising two servers

Hi.
I'm new to Netware. I've got 2 servers. They need to be synchronised.The one must be an exact backup of the other. I've heard that it could
be
a cable between the 2 servers and it needs a specific pin
configuration.
Is that true? What else must I look at? How do I check that it's
synchronising with each other? Please help
