Nothing special regarding autoexec.ncf or startup.ncf.

To stop NWTAPE from loading, you could simply rename it -- same to
NWTAPENO.CDM -- Netware won't find it to load it.

I do manually add the load NWASPI.CDM call to my autoexec.ncf.

I don't typically autoload BESTART -- I manually load this after a
server restart.

A couple of other notes:

I use BE 8.5, not 8.0 -- though I used to run BE 8.0 and didn't have
any problems there.

You might look to download any final updates to BE 8.0 from the Veritas
site.
