Default Re: Netware 5.1 Crash

Hi Andrew,

Honestly, I have no idea which one is Abend1 and that's why I got a whole file. I really do thank you for your help though.

We finally had to get another similar box and set up the server again using same disks and did the dsrepair as you mentioned.

We also got stuck on this famous error message "Error: Unable to rename DIB from NDT to nds. Error: -632" during dsrepair and this novell page seemed to solved the problem.

TID-10092840 Error: Unable to rename DIB from NDT to nds. Error: -632 ( 14MAY2004)

For now, the server is back, up and running again.

Thank you.

In any case the abend is clearly in DS.nlm, and you have the latest and
last version of NDS 8.85c. So there's not a lot to suggest. Down the
server to Dos, and run it up again with

server -NDB

Ignore any errors, load dsrepair and run a local dsrepair with Rebuild
Op Schema =yes. If that completes then unload dsrepair and reboot.

If that doesn't help, I think the DS database on that server is corrupt
and causing the abends, so you treat it as a dead server. How exactly
you proceed depends on whether this is a single server tree or not.
