Default Recovering from corrupted NDS...

Have a NW 5.0 server (let's call it server A) with the dreaded -663 error, can't open the NDS databases. Normal attempts to resurrect failed. Other files on the sys volume seem fine, so damage seems confined to NDS DB.

Found a second server (server B) that was recently retired that had a perfect and up to date tree and promoted it from R/W to Master. Goal is to somehow wipe out the bad DB on server A and restore it from server B. The data on the server A is critical. They have no recent backups.

Wishing to not lose access to the data volumes on Server A, how do I properly go about wiping the DB? Take server B offline and then delete NDS from Server A? Then reinstall with an empty tree and merge them? I'm worried about losing the definitions of the data volumes on the server?

Called back in by former employer to save them from themselves. They will lay several people off and close the group if I can't get it back up.
