NWADMIN - IP only ?

Can I get to a remote server (via IP router) using NWADMIN ? It seems
only
to want to use IPX - I have not yet configured Pure IP Console.

The remote server is in my tree (used SLP to get it in) and the
objects
appear but I get comms error when trying to manage them.
