What likely happened is that because you uninstalled DS, the NCP Server
object is gone, and NCP Server (aka Host Server) is one of the mandatory
attributes - this caused the Volume object to become unknown since the
attribute value is lost. This simply means you cannot "make use" of the
object but the phyiscal volume is not affected in any way.
