SATA drive issue
I recently upgraded in NW 5.1SP8 to 2 SATA drives, connected to an ICH9 chipset on the motherboard. The problem is that IDEATA.HAM loads and recognized one of the 2 SATA drives. It also ignores the IDE CDrom running on a separate IDE controller.
I have an adaptec scsi card in there that is running tape drives, and the adaptec driver loads multiple instances for each device. I thought ideata would do that too. I cannot manually load it nor scan and find the other sata drive and the cdrom. No raid is running. I had planned to use the 2nd drive for mirroring.
As a side note, the ideata.ham always finds the second sata drive,not the first one.
I have a param slot=0.
Any advice?
