Cannot enable chat gadget - vo 1.6.1 (nw-oes-sp2)

NW-OES-SP2 with VO 1.6.1 Update

I cannot enable the chat gadget of VO 1.6.1 using the hints in

w.html

After commenting out the responsible lines the homepage design and structure
of VO is becoming damaged. Fortunately this effect is reversibel.

Was anyone able to enable the chat gadget of VO 1.6.1 or can anyone
reproduce this behaviour ?
