variable in home directory path

Hi all,

we moved a lot of users home directorys to a new server, and updated the path to home directorys in e-dir to the format \path\to\server\$login_name. That did save us a lot of time but the bad thing with it is that the home directory in Netstorage is empty. I guess that Netstorage in unable to resolve the variable, but is it any way around this or is it just to sit down and do a lot of typing?
