Default Mac OSX .6 Can't log in to 6.5 server

The latest release of Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) does not allow the user to complete login. We have been testing and the latest version does not connect completely. We have contacted Apple with packet captures from a 10.5 workstation and the 10.6 and they have asked us to contact You and have you contact Apple to resolve this issue. I have the captures of the current version and the new version and it is clear that the 10.6 capture gets to an[ACK] and the next line is a logout request. We have NW6.5 SP6 and have tried the latest version AFPTCP from SP7. The SP 8 is dated earlier than the build of snow leopard.
