I'm not sure if that setup is possible or not, but here are a few tips:
1. You can disable the list of users on your login screen by using KDE
Control Center. I HIGHLY recommend this!
2. Manually running vncserver can't take you to the login screen
because it starts an instance of VNC under the user that initiated the
vncserver command.
3. I wouldn't worry about people trying to guess root's password by
clicking the shutdown button... Everyone knows that root exists on
every linux box. You are more likely to get hacked via ssh than vnc.
