As a future note, use LVM for your partitions. This allows you to grow,
shrink, and even span partitions across disks very easily, often without
shutting down the server or even unmounting a volume.

Parted should be able to do what you need, you can get a disk image with
it here:

http://paud.sourceforge.net/

Make sure you run that command they show if you resize a reiserfs partition.
