Error setting nss owner id in /var/nds/ndsd.log

The following error appears repeatedly in /var/nds/ndsd.log

Error2 setting file owner 61
Error setting nss owner id through xattr interface

We have OES SP2 Linux with NSS volumes. The error started showing up in
the log file on 05/09/07. The NCP server also started hanging at this
time. The server is pingable and accessible via Remote Manager or
iManager but browsing the server or NSS volumes is extremely slow. Login
is also slow. Our workaround is to restart nds daemon every day.
