I'm guessing you added this box to your tree with ndsconfig.
When you do this, it doesn't copy some necessary files, one being the .der
file you mention.
The answer is to remove it from the tree using ndsconfig, and re-add it
using yast.
yast does all the copying of these files to the new system and adds it to
the tree.
This threw me for AGES !
