LUN sizes looks like it could be worth a shot. I'll have to check what the other LUN sizes are..
I don't recall normally initializing a device when creating new pools...Is that always necessary? But maybe in this case the EVMS backend is the reason. It's just that initializing a device looks sort of 'fatal', but that would be OK if just the new partition in question is affected.
