I'm nopt aware about something special to set up on the server side
(except maybe allow remote access to the main console screen if you want
that as well). However I found out that some VNC clients do not support
all features required by all VNC servers and I found that for me, the
tightVNC client is the most universal that hasn't prevented me from doing
a VNC connection yet:
