Software that Novell does not ship will not be supported by Novell, but
having OpenVPN on a server probably will not void other support either
unless OpenVPN somehow interferes with things (for example, if it sets up
networking routes incorrectly due to a misconfiguration then networking
issues could be the result on some level and those would be yours to work
out; in cases like those testing without OpenVPN would be a fairly quick
way to rule the third-party software in/out).

If you want a supported solution look at Novell Access Manager. The
SSLVPN technology is, as I recall, based on OpenVPN and it's also based on
the identities of your existing users in eDirectory and web-based for
setup and use.
