DNS Zones not updating from eDirectory

Hi guys,

We have a 3 server setup
first server is the master replica for the tree and CA
second and third server have dhcp/dns installed and also have read/write replicas for the tree.

I've created a zone for DNS and that is working fine except it doesn't seem to been updating the zone for eDirectory, currently the loaded serial for the zone is 2009102659 but the zone serial in eDirectory is 2009102810. The new A records I've added do not work when queried.

The log from /var/opt/novell/log/named/named.run shows the following.

restarting novell-named seems to fix it sometimes, is there something I've missed, am I suppose to have to restart novell-named every time I add or remove a record?
