I have had an intermittent but annoying issue with Dell 2500 servers.
Every so often (anywhere from next day after a reboot to over 3 weeks
later), the server abends/locks-up hard with a problem with the perc2.ham
device driver. We are using the latest driver version, and all the
firmware on the system including RAID (Perc 3/Di) is also flashed to the
latest versions. There are no warning symptoms, and we cannot get a
coredump or abend.log as the system locks hard -- no keystrokes of any
nature are accepted. Only recovery choice is power off, power on. Any
thoughts at all would be appreciated.
