Netware backup to RDX drive

Hi,
New server running NW 6.5SP8, w/ an internal RDX drive, a removable HDD cartridge. I'm looking for a backup solution that runs natively on NW that backs up in a full/incremental fashion. The server is at a site w/ a slow link, so backup over the WAN is not my first choice.
Arcserve 11.1 SP3 does not really recognize the drive; I have no support, but they don't seem to be too active on the NW side.
Is it worth the trouble to investigate SBCON or other NW utilities?
Has anyone been able to get an RDX drive to work w/ Arcserve or another app?
