Thanks for the info. I have been having issues trying to reproduce the problem with MAP ERRORS on... so I'll continue troubleshooting that and post back if I can come up with an error code.

MMerrell: I'm not sure if it happens after being logged in already, but I am confident in our networks physical connections. This problem does not happen at all on XP, and we have good continuous ping results from desktops to servers.

Craig: Could you elaborate a little more on the error check idea? I'm assuming you are talking about using an IF THEN statement to map H again if it does not exist. Can you provide an example?
