Default ESX VMWare OES Linux Servers

I posted this request in another forum and I was wanting to make sure I got this into the proper location. We currently have a NW 6.5 SP 6, 6 node cluster, we are going to be upgrading the base Operating system to OES Linux, the servers which are currently physical are going to be running in a ESX VMware environment. The first question is this possible setting up those boxes in a ESX VMware environment, 2.) would clustering still be a valid option, our VM Team tells us that we could simply use Vmotion, (not really sure what that is) instead of using Novell Cluster Services. 3.) Is that really an option with just having the boxes rely on VmWare to ensure stability or do we still need to have clustering services on the boxes so that we can maintain our current 6 node clusters? Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
