Mac OSX .6 Can't log in to 6.5 server

The latest release of Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) does not allow the user to complete login. We have been testing and the latest version does not connect completely. We have contacted Apple with packet captures from a 10.5 workstation and the 10.6 and they have asked us to contact You and have you contact Apple to resolve this issue. I have the captures of the current version and the new version and it is clear that the 10.6 capture gets to an[ACK] and the next line is a logout request. We have NW6.5 SP6 and have tried the latest version AFPTCP from SP7. The SP 8 is dated earlier than the build of snow leopard. It appears that authentication is successful but get the error "Connection Failed There was an error connecting to server. Check the server name or IP and try again"
