login script with CIFS / getting MAC address

Hello.

How to achieve something like:

if P_STATION="00E0292A3B5C" THEN SET STATIONNR = "010"

when using CIFS for login to NW 6.5 ?

I need to set an individual environment variable based on the networkcards
mac address. Can I configure on the server a login script for CIFS clients
or do I need to run a batch file on the client?

How to get the networkcards mac address in a windows batch file? I found
"getmac" but I hope theres an easier way.
