Yes, that is the situation for now. You need to install the update
manually.

NOWS SBE is, shall we say, very fragile. If a patch is essential and not available from the NOWS SBE channel then, yes, a manual update is our only option.

Novell has stated repeatedly that the only supported method for applying updates is via the Simba GUI. Anyone considering manual updates should assess the potential risk to their system and ensure they have reliable backups before proceeding.
