Migration Practices for LDAP to AD for NSL

My customer intents to move the existing NSL user credentials from
Novell eDirectory to Active Directory. The existing users are currently
running NSL 3.5 (on NT platform) and also plan to move the user to NSL
6.1 (Windows XP).
What is the best way to perform such the upgrade and migration?
Can I just export out the user credentials from LDAP and import it to AD?
