SecretStore in mixed tree ?

Hi,

Tree has a mixture of OES2 Lin, OES1 Lin, and NW6.5.7.

I have a mixture of eDir 8.7.3.x and 8.8.

I want to deploy NSL 6.1 using SecretStore as the backend.

I have read that SecretStore is already "there" on eDir 8.8 servers.

I have r/w replicas of all partitions on two OES2/eDir 8.8 servers.

Typically the eDir 8.7 servers only have replicas of local partitions on them - i.e. those remote office servers and their staff and printers etc.

Digging through the OES2 server filesystem I find documentation pdf for SS3.3 and "how to install on Linux" even though it would seem this is outdated, and redundant !

I have two questions:

1. Do I have to do anything to the eDir8.7 servers ?

2. Do I have to configure / enable SS on the eDir 8.8 servers in any way ?
