Sorry for the late reply, Daniel; just tested this:
1. In NSM, go to Definitions | Networks.
2. Create a new definition; call it EGL, type DNS hostname, [url]www.egl.ch;[/url]
save the definition.
3. Go to Proxies | HTTP.
4. Go to Skip source/destination networks.
5. Add EGL to your list of networks to skip (I'm assming that by
"whitelist," above, you are referring to the content filter whitelist;
what you're seeing is a proxy loop in Squid, and unrelated to the
content filter, as you discovered).
Try that, and let me know how it works. I've been using Squid for years
under OS/2, so I have a pretty good feel for when I'm l,ooking at a
Squid issue... ;-)
