KAM, the resolution is fairly straightforward, if I read your question
correctly:
First, be sure that the server in question has been definted (this would
make sense, if you have a NAT rule - SNAT or DNAT). Next, go to Proxies
| HTTP and add the server to your list of "Skip source/destination
networks". This should keep you from having to manually tweak all of the
clients.
As an aside, I have had mixed results with PAC files. I'm not sure what
fix may be in the works for v7; AFAIK (and I will look at my beta this
weekend), v7 still uses Squid, so the "fix" would need to come from the
Squid developers.
BTW, do you have any content filtering enabled? If so, you might want to
whitelist your own domain or turn it off for a test. I've been fooled
before where I thought I had a proxy issue and it turned out to be the
content filter.
Good luck; HTH.
