Default Re: Postgress Collector

I do not know that there is, released from Novell, a PostgreSQL database
collector. Yyou could always work on creating your own (comparing with an
Oracle or MySQL collector perhaps) using the Sentinel SDK though I have
not created a collector for a database event source in the past. Another
barrier may be knowing how PostgreSQL does its own auditing (which is what
I presume you are after). For example if you want to see an audit trail
of logins or DDL modifications then PostgreSQL will need to write those
events somwhere that the connector can pick them up and pass them to the
collector. I have not looked into how that is done with PostgreSQL but
with that worked out the rest is just a matter of querying for the data
and then putting the correct data in the correct Sentinel fields for
processing.

If you would like to request a supported collector from Novell your best
bet is to probably submit an enhancement request via the new Request
Management System (RMS); go to http://support.novell.com/ and click on the
'Contribute' menu on the left and then 'Request Enhancement'.

Good luck.
