Default Re: GW8 on SBS 6.6

In case somebody else steps into the same....

I ran my first GroupWise 7.1 to 8.0HP1 upgrade yesterday. In fact, the
end of it was earlier today.

The reason was a different behavior of LDAP provided by GWIA. The
bottom line, uncheck the "Enable LDAP Servive" box on the GWIA / LDAP
tab if you happen to have it checked before you start GroupWise 8.

Effects were multiple and nasty:

-- redirector became confused and mapped all letters to SYS: at the same
time showing that the mappings were correct;

-- Logger Screen: RIGHTS CACHE.......105 (ERROR -603) The requested
attribute could not be found. In the directory, if an attribute does
not contain a value then the attribute does not exist for the specific
object. Rights CACHE .......105 INVALID_ATTRIBUTE

-- Logger Screen: TLS ACCEPT FAILURE 1 ON CONNECTION 0xA5D87EE0,
setting error=-5875. Error stack: Error 14094418: SSL ROUTINES:
SSL3_READ_BYTES: TLSv1 ALERT UNKNOWN CA - SSL ALERT NUMBER 48 TLS
HANDSHAKE FAILED ON CONNECTION 0xA5D87EE0, ERR=-5875

-- Logger Screen: FAILED TO DUPLICATE CONTEXT 0x2FB0038 IN DUPLICATE
NDS CONTEXT, ERR=TRANSPORT FAILURE (-625)

-- POA screen: LDAP ERROR 2

The last one led me to the TID7000795 where the symptom was explained.

HTH,
Vladimir
