The basic steps are:

1. Do *not* create a new Groupwise System in the recreated tree. If you
have already created one, delete it again, best with a ConsoleOne
without Groupwise snapins (download a fresh copy for that task), to
avoid that the deletion touches yuor files. I hope you didn't create a
new system and pointed it to the old location, because that would have
overwritten your domain database.

2. Graft the existing GW System from disk. Plenty of hits for "groupwise
graft" in the knwoledgebase and docs.

3. Reinstall the GW Agents, and point it to the existing files.

better answers there.
