Default user space utilization

Hello!

A couple of questions regarding the functionality of Storage Manager. Will it allow me to restrict space utilization for a user globally across the tree. In other words, once I apply a policy to a user, will Storage Manager restrict space no matter if the files are physically spread across multiple servers in the same tree or will the policy only apply to the user home directory?

Is it necessary to have Identity Manager feature installed to use Storage Manager?

Last,

If I have a user who is under a certain container and is also a member of a group, which also resides under the same container, will I have policy conflicts if I assign a policy to the parent container (for user home quota) and assign another policy (for group storage) to the group.

Thanks!
