Collaborative storage

I am trying to figure out exactly how to setup collaborative storage. There is a great video on storagemr.com that demonstrates virtual classroom storage, I wanted to duplicate it in my test lab, but didn't find it very intuitive. The documentation seems to be missing information on collaborative storage policies. Is this documented somewhere and I've just missed it?
