Freeze at Login After Sleep

When waking up my machine, I am prompted to login. If I enter the incorrect password, the login screen wiggles (screen effect) but does not allow me to re-enter my password. I cannot place the cursor into the password field and the screen will continue to wiggle every time I attempt to place the cursor or even enter my password.

I am having this same trouble after upgrading to SLED 10 SP2. I am hoping that this can be resolved, where you able to resolve this issue on your system?
