MySQL and OpenOffice

I'm using MySQL 5.0.18 and was able to connect to it from OpenOffice 3.0.0
on SLED 11 x86_64. After I downloaded the MySQL JDBC connector and
specified it in my ClassPath within OpenOffice (Tools: Options:
OpenOffice.org: Java: 'Class Path' button), then restarting OpenOffice to
apply the changes and specifying the correct credentials and DB name all
was well and things worked for me.

How is it not working for you specifically? What have you done to get
this working?
