MySQL and OpenOffice

Installed the MySQL using YaST, how see in :

When log into MySQL at prompt it shows as server version: 5.0.26


However NOT able to connect (Novell version) OpenOffice 3.1.1 database to any tables to view and/or edit them from within OpenOffice.


Q:1 Appreciate easy how to connect to MySQL database: test when using OpenOffice - database, then spreadsheet, etc ;-)





Q:2 Might this be easier when update to SLED 11 ?
