SLED11 and hp 8530w

Hi,
I'm trying out SLED11 on my hp 8530w laptop.

After installing the Nvidia driver for the Quadro FX 770M graphics chip using Yast from http://download.nvidia.com/novell/sle11 I logged out to restart X and the screen went black, I tried to press ctrl-alt-backspace but it didn't help. Switching to another terminal doesn't work. The keyboard is still responsive, i.e. I can press caps lock and see that it reacts. Ctrl-alt-delete also works.

Any ideas which driver works with that chip and SLED11?
