Default networkmanager dhcp resolv.conf searchlist

On SLED10-SP1, /usr/bin/NetworkManager is overwriting my /etc/resolv.conf search entry with the domain set by dhcp. I have 5 domains that need to be searched in addition to the domain set by dhcp, or it would be acceptable to specify 6 domains and ignore the dhcp domain. However, nameserver entries need to be updated by dhcp.

I have tried manually editing /etc/resolv.conf, it gets overwritten.

I have tried setting supersede domain-name "doma.myco.com domb.myco.com myco.com" in /etc/dhclient.conf, this doesn't seem to have an effect.

The YaST Hostname and Name Server Configuration form offers an option to not update the Search List, but this also prevents the Name Servers from being updated.

/etc/sysconfig/network/dhcp has DHCLIENT_KEEP_SEARCHLIST set to yes

What else should I try?

Cheers,
Aaron

PS: I found an older unresolved thread on a similar issue. /etc/resolv.conf
