Default How do I install the drivers for a network card

Hello all

I am very new to Linux but am willing to learn. I have installed SLED 10 onto a desktop. The network card is an Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-Express Gigabit card. I have gone to the Realtek web site and downloaded r8168-8.006.00.tar.bz2. I have managed to move the file over to the PC running Linux. I have logged on as root, expanded the bz2 file and then I am stuck. Un-zipping the bz2 file gives me the following

Folder name r8168-8.006.00
Files

Makefile
readme
release_note.txt

and another folder called SRC
then the following files

Makefile
Makefile_linux24X
r8168.h
r8168_n.c
rtl_ioctl.c
rtl_ioctl.h

Thanks
