Default VMware Network Support SLED 10SP2 x64

I have installed SLED 10 SP2 x64 on a Dell XPS M1710 and among the predicitable 'not quite there' issues I have encountered is my VMware Workstation 6 VMs don't have network connectivity. VMware Workstation 6.04 installed without a hitch and everything else about VMware seems to be in order. The VMs (XP & Vista) show they are connected but there is no internet access. I recently installed VMware on ubutu and Rehat (both x64) and these same VMs had no trouble accessing the network so its new with SUSE. The SUSE SLED install accesses the network fine so it appears to be a VMware specific problem.

I am hoping someone else has experienced this issue and can shed some light on the fix or workaround. Thanks!
