Default xrdp to native x11 session

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to use nomad/xrdp to attach to the native local x11 session on a machine? I typically lock my session at work and would like to re-attach to that session from home. I typically work with many long running jobs and need to connect to the same session from home/work.

When using nomad, it seems to create a different session than the native x11 session and I can disconnect and reconnect to that different session but I now have two completely different sessions which is not what I want.

The only other way I've been able to accomplish this is through x11vnc but the performance is quite worse than nomad. I also tried nx with the shadow option and it also was slow.

Basically I am looking for something that works similar to Windows rdp.

Thanks much!
Nick
